Musician and songwriter Pat Drummond is organising the first local music festival with Strathfield Rotary to give a platform for emerging artists to perform. The details of the event have not yet been finalised but Mr Drummond is looking to hold the event at the Australian Catholic University. Over the coming weeks, Rotary members and Mr Drummond will be asking any musician to come forward to participate in the festival. The Rotarians hope to enlist the musical talents of Symphonia Jubilate – one of the area’s best and brightest school orchestras. “Strathfield Rotary is in partnership with some great local institutions to bring this music festival to the community,” Mr Drummond says. “This is a great way to showcase local talent and also bring together different groups.” Check www.ourstrathfield.com.au for more details about the upcoming event.
