While many people will be heading out to bars and clubs to celebrate, you might be thinking of holding your own party and mixing up a few surprises for your guests. So we asked some of Strathfield’s best-known ‘mixologists’ for the recipes of some of the drinks they will be serving up over the festive period. Horse and Jockey Hotel The hotel’s licensee Nathan Goode will be stirring up a storm with cocktails over the festive season and has introduced a special cocktail list for New Year’s Eve featuring some innovative rum-based cocktails. With the onset of hot weather Goode is predicting that the drinks of the season will be Corona beers and punch-style cocktails served in tall glasses. “ It’s easier to dance with long tall glasses and it saves extra trips to the bar,” says Goode. The New Year’s Eve Cocktail menu will include Pomegranite Mojito, Passionfruit Collins, a Kentucky Cobbler and the Waka Tiki Cocktail.
